Saving Research Materials for Future Use

I was assigned to do the CD duplication of the resource materials to be used in my boss’ presentation. He was invited to present his paper in one of the Scandinavian countries. I took charge of the task of disc duplication when we lost our temp.

I have been a research assistant for five year now. I like the job because I get to travel places and gather data. My boss takes us around the world to visit marine sanctuaries. We take a dive in the best dive sites in the world for educational purposes. Because of my job, I was able to go to many Asian countries. When we are not doing field work, we are busy working in the laboratory, identifying the specimen we have tagged during the trip.

I am also fortunate to see my name as co-author in several publications. I have always wanted to be a scientist and to see my name in one of the journals is means a lot to me. Someday, I want o become head of research too.

My boss is like a father figure to all of us. He encourages us to finish our masters degree and to undertake researches. He fully supports all our endeavors and provides us access to the facilities of the laboratory to help us in our studies. I can always count on him for advice on the methods that I take and the direction of my research. He even gives me the names of his contacts and fellow researchers who can give me the data that I need.

His wife is also a researcher and she is as kind to us as he is. Sometimes, when we are working late, she would show up at the laboratory bringing some food. I am glad to be working with a very supportive boss and a nurturing work environment.

I Greatly Enjoy Working in Information Security

Information security has been a great career for me. When I was in high school I was a complete computer nerd. I did not really have that many friends, so I would always go to the library and research things on computers. I was able to decipher a lot of things for many of my teachers, and I quickly became a class favorite. I would also would help my father work a lot with all of the problems that they would have with their computers at work even though I was only 13 years old. I loved to work with computers, and because of that I was able to get a job very young working at a store fixing computers, and also working in information technology. By time I was a junior in high school I became a little bit more popular, but I still really had a love for technology, and information. I went to college to get my certification as an information technician, and I got a really good job right out of college. After that I actually was able to start working for the government in information security. I really loved my job, but I knew that I could get better pay if I got more education. I decided I was going to get information about getting my certified information security manager certification. I was able to find a lot of information on the Internet, and I was able to take a course over the Internet to be able to get my CISM Training certificate. When I was finished with my course, I got my CISM Training certificate, I was able to help out in information security a lot more at my job, and I got a very big raise. My wife and I had to move to Washington, but our family is doing great there. I’m very happy that I’m able to work in a field that I’m very passionate about, because ever since I was very young I’ve always loved information security.
